The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, a phone that at this stage needs no introduction is getting a new version – The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic Edition. The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic Edition is being launched ahead of the Olympics that will be taking place in Rio, Brazil.
Just like with the Injustice Edition of the Galaxy S7 Edge, the internals of the Olympic edition is virtually the same with the “normal” Galaxy S7 Edge barring the outside looks. It still has the same 5.5 Super AMOLED Quad HD Display, Snapdragon 820/Exynos 8890, Android 6.0, 4GB RAM, 3600 mAH battery and a 12MP Camera.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic Edition is adorned with all 5 colors of the Olympic rings along with a custom Olympic theme preinstalled on the phone.
According to Samsung, 12,500 units of the special edition will be given to all athletes at the Rio Olympics along with a Gear IconX. Each unit of the limited edition Olympic edition of the Galaxy S7 Edge comes with a unique number and will be sold in Brazil, Korea, Germany and the US starting July 18. Only 2,016 units of this limited edition phone will be on sale.
